More winter fun

A trip to the north pole, I mean the local garden shop that was hosting Santa's reindeer.
Christmas cookie decorating with friends.  I made the gingerbread cookies the night before and the boys had a blast decorating, well I think Jameson enjoyed eating them even more!
Fun at the Denver Children's Museum.

It was at the top of this climbing exhibit that another little older boy (maybe five years old) for no apparent reason pushed Jameson to the ground.  I saw the whole thing happen - it was a full-out two handed shove.  I was so appalled.  I ran up there and my "momma bear" came out.  The other parent was very apologetic, thank goodness!  It's such a terrible feeling watching your child get bullied (I hope I never have to see it again)!  Good thing Jameson recovered quickly :)

Denver Zoo Lights/Santa Claus

The Denver Zoo lights up annually at Christmas time and are just as much an attraction as the animals.  It was a chilly night, but walking around with hot coco and excited kids made it a really fun evening :)  Oh, and we were surprised to find that Santa Claus was also there!!!
Wide awake.

Blurry, but it's an example of how the zoo had lights everywhere, including numerous animal sculptures (like the elephant above).
Waiting in line to see Santa.
Daaad, that's not Santa....

but this is.....

High fives are better, a sure bet!

Ava's first visit with Santa.

The elephants are awake and they like to "eat hay".

Fun, the giraffes are awake too!
Jameson's constant refrain throughout the night was "animals sleep h-e-r-e".  I guess being at the zoo at night really made an impression on him - I'm not sure where he thought the animals went at night?!?!  He loves the book Goodnight Gorilla in which the animals escape from their cages and follow the zoo keeper home to sleep in his bedroom.  Maybe Jameson thought they went home with the zoo keeper?  Hmmm....the mind of a toddler :)
