Saturdays

Jameson at our last Saturday morning "Baby Massage" class.  It was fun learning new ways to calm, soothe and bond with Jameson.  Before taking the class, we felt like Jameson either didn't like or wasn't interested in baby massage, but this class showed us otherwise.
Jameson and his friend Nathan at the start of class.  It was fun seeing the boys get more and more interactive with each other.

I thought they sat down there to help me with finishing the laundry, but no, they just created an irresistible distraction :)

Tummy time.  Jameson is getting stronger at picking up his head and rotating it from side to side.  Hopefully he next learns that having open hands will help his cause a bit more!  He also tends to lift his legs up, feet off the ground while on his tummy.  I think we'll see more progress when he keeps those knees tucked under and anchored.

The Goerges Visit Colorado

The Goerges visit!!!  After their ski/snowboarding adventure up at Steamboat where they encountered some great powder, they drove to Fort Collins for a few days where they welcomed the warmer 60+ degree weather.  We had a fun relaxing visit - lounging at home, going for walks, chatting, playing games and spending time entertaining Jameson (which he loved!).  Here is a picture of Aunt Kathy, Gunnar and Gracie after we walked to Panera for lunch.

Gunnar and Jameson the evening they arrived.

Gracie and Jameson before they departed for home.

Enjoying story time together.

Grace under fire!  Gracie and Gunnar were super sweet with Jameson - wanting to watch over him, help out, entertain him...he is lucky to be so loved :)

Like Father Like Son?

Rob and Jameson 2013
Tom and Rob 1980
A little blurry because I took the picture with my cell phone, but I couldn't resist the look on Jameson's face, so I had to post it!

Jameson loves the toys we've inherited from friends - here he is in the Aquarium Bouncer.

Jameson with his new best friend, "Grapes" the Toucan.  This is the Rainforest play mat - now with batteries, it's a big hit!

Happy Baby

Daddy and Baby making faces at each other.  In case you can't read the text on Jameson's shirt: "boys RULE!"
Jameson was feeling content after enjoying a 20-minute "baby massage" (Rob and I signed up for a four week course - first session was this morning and it totally paid off!).  Here is some rare footage of a calm and content Jameson in the wild... note that 30 seconds later he launched into a bout of unhappy bawling.

Jameson 2 Months

With visitors in town, we finally got some shots of all three of us together!

Amy, Ben, and Timmy came to visit!  Here is Amy having to tackle both Timmy and Jameson at once.  Timmy had fun teaching Jameson about his favorite books - hopefully Jameson will share Timmy's love for storytime.

Boston friends Amy and Ben with Jameson.
"I'm two months old"!  Jameson now weighs 10 lbs. 4.4 oz.  He is smiling more, making better eye contact and becoming more comfortable entertaining himself for brief periods of time.  He is cooing and vocalizing new sounds and continues to enjoy singing and bouncing.
Jameson's just started to notice and be captivated by his mobile, and he'll occasionally reach out for objects (although he doesn't quite know what to do if he actually touches one).  The mobile now gives me five minutes to get dressed in the morning if I don't get a chance before Rob leaves for work.
First experience with the rainforest play mat "gym", which has all kinds of dangling creatures!  Now just wait until we get batteries for this thing...
Out for a stroll in the neighborhood.  It stopped snowing and warmed up enough for us to escape the indoors for some exercise.  Recently it even reached the low 60's - gotta appreciate each one of those days!!!

Jameson Week 6

Happy Valentine's Day!  Last week Jameson and I were busy making Rob's Valentine's gift.  The foot and hand imprints from the previous week came in handy, too!  Thank you for the Valentine's outfit, Grandma Lou...he was in theme for the day :)
Now on the desk at daddy's office.

Showing some pride for daddy's alma mater.  Now I'm in the hunt for a "tiny" golden gopher!!!

So, yes, this is a little late.  The stickers I ordered took forever to arrive, but better late than never!

More fun in the swing.  I'm so glad that I found the electronic noise maker (and by accident nonetheless), which is hanging in the middle between the animals.  I just turn on the white noise and 90% of the time that in combination with the swinging calms him.  It was a wonderful investment.  Prior I was using an app on my phone, but boy was it killing my battery.

Oh Ellie, you'll get to play with him soon enough!

Jameson Weeks 4 & 5

Jameson at play - this is one of the easiest toys for him to grasp, so it's a favorite!

Tired out after a good feeding.  After he was done, Ellie nuzzled her way in.  She just loves this little guy!
Off in sleepy land on the magical swing.

Jameson and me wishing Daddy a good day as he heads off to work.

Gotta love Saturdays - I get both my boys at home!

Play time!

Jameson "monkeying" around...
Jameson's first art project.  I had to capture these little feet and hands.

Can't believe he's one month old!  He's growing more and more interactive each day - when he's in a good mood, he seems to enjoy play time.  He also really enjoys being sung to and moving in rhythm with the music.  His feeding is becoming more predictable, and we can occasionally get 5 hours of sleep in one stretch!
