Jameson's First Hike: Dadd Gulch

Our first hike with Jameson...not our usual trek, but everything is different with a baby!  Jameson was quite the trooper.  He'd just gotten his 4 month shots  earlier this same morning (evidenced by the Band-aids on his legs).
Lunch break.

Are we there yet?

Jameson's Baptism

It was wonderful having so many family members fly out to celebrate Jameson's baptism with us.   What a fun weekend!!!!   Missing you already, but remembering that we'll see the Pilat side again in June and the Garnier side again in July for a summer full of weddings.
Jameson and Grammy.

Jameson and Grandpa Garnier.

Jameson and Uncle Dave....the "Godfather".

Jameson with Aunt Donna...can't wait to see you again at your wedding in July!
Chillin' with Uncle Pete...soon to be napping on Uncle Pete.

Grandma Lou and Aunt Natalie.

Godparents. Note that the gown Jameson is wearing is the same gown that Rob himself wore for his own baptism!  Since Rob first wore the gown, many have followed.  Rob's mom has since embroidered each baby's initials on the edge of the gown chronicling the history those who have worn it.
Washed by the water.

I don't think that Jameson got the memo :)

Thank you Nicole for making such an awesome cake!!!!  It was delicious and perfect!

Mother's Day

Yummy ice cream treat - sea salted caramel and toasted coconut!!!!  We bummed around Old Town after enjoying morning mass and a delicious brunch.  Below watch the video of Rob and Jameson at Snooze (this was their third dance of the morning) - be sure to catch his smile at the very end!
So, he's already got "10 and 2" down....
Now, if we can just get him to keep his eyes on the road!
A day to celebrate the most wonderful blessing...that of being a mom.  Jameson and I watched on as dad planted some flowers that we'd picked out earlier that day.

Jameson 4 Months

My attempt at taking a few photos of Jameson.
Jameson...letting me know he was DONE with the photo shoot.  "Noooo!  I'm sick of posing!"
Quack quack.  Bath time!

Boys in stripes.

Jameson was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for our first 5k - March for Babies.
King Jameson.

4 months.  14.5 pounds and 25 inches.

Oh!  Hi Ellie.

Family Photos

For a long time, we've had a spot in our living room just waiting for a family photo to be hung.  Shannon, thanks for taking such wonderful pictures!  It was hard to post just a few (since she took a few hundred!), but here's a small sampling.

Moon over Long's Peak

One benefit of early morning feedings...sunrises and "moon" sets.  Here's the view from our balcony looking west early one morning.

3 Months

Captain Adorable!

3 months old!!!  Jameson's 2-month doctor's visit ended up happening just shy of his turning 3 months old.  10 days shy of 3 months, Jameson came in weighing 11lb. 9.7oz. and was 23.5" long.  So he's gained almost 5 lbs, and grown 3.5 inches since birth.   At that doctor's appointment, he handled his shots like a champ (he was actually so focused on wanting to eat that I don't even know if he realized he got the shots)!

Aunt Natalie arrives!  With Jameson turning 3 months, it also meant that my 3-month maternity leave had come to an end.  We decided that I would return to work part-time and so far, working just Tues-Wed-Thur has been a great balance.  My first week back corresponded with Natalie's school's Spring Break.  Having her here was such a blessing - Jameson got to spend more time with his Aunt and it helped make my transition back to work so much easier.

Saying goodbye wasn't too hard this time because we know we'll see Aunt Natalie again in May at Jameson's Baptism.

So much baby equipment - where did my living room go?!?!  I think it's lost in the jungle... Rob and Jameson certainly don't seem to mind.  They can have fun playing with each other anywhere.

Check out that smile... and those cheeks!  I think he inherited them from me :)

Since he was born, one of the most helpful calming techniques has been bouncing Jameson on my Pilates ball.  We bounce together so often that there's actually a song that goes with it - I'll spare you the lyrics, but there's some clever alliteration involved.  He loves being sung to, so we sing in this house every single day (and more often than not it's totally made up)!

For my second week back at work, Jameson started going over to my friend Shannon's house.  She's going to be watching him until early May when his daycare provider can start.  Here are three photos she took of him this last week.  The photos do a great job capturing how "bubbly" he's been lately!
