Edwards House

Some longtime friends of ours graciously offered to watch our kids for an overnight while we went off on a one night getaway.  We stayed at a B&B in Old Town, The Edwards House.  It was awesome!!

Out to dinner in Old Town.

Breakfast at the B&B.  They take your order and have it delivered from Snooze - a favorite AM eatery of ours.

28 weeks! This trip served as a great little "baby" moon :)

Our Birthdays

On the afternoon of Rob's birthday some friends offered to watch the kids and we were able to enjoy some sun and beer at one of Rob's favorite breweries.

For my birthday, we made a trip into Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park.  This pic is of the kids being goofy while we stopped for some bagels and coffee on our way up the mountains.

A pit stop at the Cherry Store I've been wanting to pop into for years!  We always drive past in as we ride along the Big Thompson River toward Estes. I was soooo happy that we stopped.  There were so many yummy things inside and all of it brought back memories of my grandparents (the food, smells, friendliness of the workers and German music playing in the background).  They would have loved this little shop!

We decided that Sprague Lake would make for a perfect afternoon hike for these little ones.

Fun exploring off the beaten path.

The path around the lake has such pretty bridges and viewing spots.

Jameson impersonating a mountain lion.

After going around the lake, Jameson and I headed off on a trail (can't remember which one) for about a 45 minute hike.  He loved that it was just the two of us (well, three of us if you count the little one on the way!).  He still recalls the hike a year later!!

Along our stroll in downtown Estes for some food and drink, the kids developed a fascination with this wall and wanted their picture with it.  If I remember correctly, it had a hole in it (seen below) where they were able to fit in another rock.

20 week photo.  Baby #3 enjoyed the day, too!!!

Memorial Day Weekend 2017: Grandparents Visit

Hooray!  New playmates for the long weekend :)

Papa loves fish and decided to share his passion with the kids.  He brought the entire set-up plus 3 fish on the airplane!
Loading the fish into their new home which is set up on Jameson's bookshelf.  Jameson decides to name the two female fish "Cute Girl" and "Cuttie Pie" and the male fish "Awesome Brave".  Sadly, over the coming months only "Awesome Brave" survives.

Fun at the local park.

Chilly spring hike up in the Poudre Canyon.

Our picnic lunch turned into a car lunch, keeping us dry and warm.  It was still quite fun!!!
Learning how to play velcro ball catch.

End of preschool 2017

Congratulations Jameson!!!  While Ms. Jennifer and Ms. Heather will miss you next year, they're already looking forward to having Ava in their class :)

A surprise kiss for Ms. Heather!
Graduation/promotion to pre-k celebration.
Ava isn't feeling so sure about this "graduation" and is probably wondering why all of the adults are crying?!?!?

Of course it snowed on graduation day!

What a way to ring in summer vacation...some hot cocoa and a little...
...indoor sibling fun!

Mother's Day 2017

To celebrate Mother's Day, we stopped at Lowes and picked out flowers for the backyard.

My little helpers assisted in digging holes and placing the flowers.  It was a beautiful Mother's Day and I got to enjoy the flowers all summer long!!

Our third blessing....on the way!

Due Date 10/23/17

The day after Valentine's Day we learned that we were expecting our 3rd.  We were so excited!!!  Definitely a prayer met.  I had an inkling when we were out to dinner the night before, but hadn't wanted to get my hopes up.  It was with nervous excitement the next afternoon that I took a test and read the positive result.  Given that I would turn the wise age of 35 during the course of this pregnancy, I was considered "advanced maternal age" or "geriatric" so we were advised to have more advanced screening which included a detailed 12 week ultrasound.

Olivia Visits on Spring Break

The same week that Olivia came out to visit, other family members planned a ski trip to Keystone.  We made a daytrip down there to meet up with them for lunch and have some fun in the mountains.

Jameson's favorite kind of store...a candy shop!

Fun bumming around Breckenridge :)

While Jameson was in preschool one morning, we took a girls trip into Old Town.

Funny moment of gender stereotypes...Ava was playing doctor with her dolls and Jameson grabs a dart gun and starts to shoot a baby.  Concerned (obviously!), I ask Jameson what he's doing and he explains that he's "shooting" medicine into the baby. BOYS!!!!

Ice cream time!

Despite Ava not looking very happy (maybe she was tired - I really can't remember), she had a blast going to see Beauty and the Beast.  We all did!
