Jameson's 2nd Birthday with Friends

Our little All-Star turns 2 - and no surprise, it's a ball-themed party!
Jameson got a ball pit as one of his birthday presents, and it was a big hit with the party guests!  With our guests including 9 children and 10 adults, we were glad to have hosted the party at the neighborhood clubhouse across the street.
Thanks to Pinterest, I lost hours of sleep but had a great variety of fun custom birthday treats, activities, and crafts.
As luck would have it, Jameson's birthday party coincided with an afternoon of Packers and Broncos playoff football.  The Broncos lost their game, but the Pack won and advanced to the NFC championship game.
Pin the football between the goalposts!  For the younger kids, it was more of an exercise in following directions than a test of blindfolded coordination :)
Yummy celebration time.
End of the party: Jameson is in a sugar coma, and Ava finally woke up and is ready to celebrate.

Ava 4 months

At 4 months, Ava was still sleeping in our bedroom in a bassinet.  We had been putting off finishing her nursery for various reasons, but were determined to move her into it soon!  She was still waking up twice during the night to feed - midnight and 3/4am and we trusted that would change (for the better!) once she was in her own room.

Ava had a very healthy 4 month wellness visit.  She got all her vaccines and growth measurements.  On 1/19/15, she weighed 12lbs, 3.24oz (9th percentile), measured 24in (24th percentile) and had a head circumference of 15.86 (35th percentile).

January 7th, Jameson's 2nd Birthday

Happy birthday my sweet boy!
Happy birthday to the best big brother!!  I love watching you and learning from you.  I giggle when you come over and play with me and often cry when you leave me.  Thank you for getting more gentle with me over the past month and for recognizing more and more what toys and sounds I like.
A bedtime story book featuring a brother and sister, from Ava.

Jameson loves to take my credit cards when we are checking out at the store and loves everything that has buttons...he's already in love with this birthday gift!

Check it out!!!  Now I can build lots of towers and walls, etc with all the blocks I got for my birthday (more seen in the picture below).

Cool tools!

Is this really what I think it is?!?!?!?
Totally awesome!

My own ball pit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ava 3 months

I can roll over and sit supported, but prefer to lay on my back and stand with support.  Even though I'm strong enough, I'm still not a big fan of the whole tummy-time thing.

Ava's firsts in NH

Ava had her first laugh while Rob was raising her in the air on Christmas day in Grammy and Papa's kitchen and then had her first rollover a couple days after Christmas in their family room.  These pictures are from right after Papa and I witnessed her first rollover - she did it again :)

Birthday presents.
So much fun...  In fact, it was high-flying fun at this super hero party!

The older boys couldn't resist.  They finally had a chance to play out their boyhood super hero dreams :)

Mid-party, Jameson slipped in the kitchen and fell with a cup landing between his chin and the floor.  The rim of the cup split his chin wide open.  Such a scary situation (it took some wonderful family members to help calm me down).  Even though Jameson missed the rest of his party, we had fortunately already opened presents, sang and eaten pizza and cake.  Given Jameson's age and the fact that it was a deep facial cut, Urgent care and the most local ER didn't feel comfortable doing the stitches.  We were sent to Boston Children's Hospital - 45min drive away.  Papa drove, Rob held and comforted Jameson on his lap and I was in the back seat with Ava.  Jameson was exhausted!  He kept saying through tears "all done...go home, all done" and asking for "wawa, please...wawa".  We couldn't let him drink or eat anything because of the anesthesia he was going to get.  The accident happened around 5pm and we didn't leave Boston Children's Hospital until after midnight.  The anesthesia was first topical and then a nasal spray that turned Jameson into a bit of a drunken sailor.  Rob and I held him down and sang non-stop for the 25 min it took the doctor to complete the stitches.  The doctor and nurse became very well educated on children's nursery rhymes!  Jameson was quite the trooper and one brave little two year old!

Donna's Baby Shower in MA

Donna's baby shower!!!  We headed down to Karen's house the day after Christmas to celebrate Baby Cioni.

Due date March 22, 2015.  Boy or Girl?
It was a gender reveal party (well, reveal to all of us).  Prior to the party, Donna and Pete went and had the big box pictured below filled with blue/pink balloons accordingly.  Then, before all the men/boys retreated downstairs so us girls could shower Donna, they opened the box :)  Sadly, I didn't have camera in hand so I don't have a shot of the reveal but I can tell you that they were BLUE balloons.  We can't wait to our new nephew!!!!

Emily provided some pre-party entertainment showing all of us how to dance "Frozen" style.

Uncle Dave and Alecia flew in from Ohio and arrived to the party just in time to celebrate with all of us.  Uncle Dave didn't waste anytime getting down to the toddler level :)

Uncle Pete and little miss Sarah.
