Grandma LouLou Visits (12/11)

Grandma LouLou came out to visit to spend time with the kids.  Rob and I had a chance to get some Christmas shopping done as well as have a date night :)  We went to his company work Christmas party and then hit up Old Town.  Mom and I also did our fair share of shopping.  We took Ava with us and gave daddy and son some fun time together.  Both Rob and I developed a greater appreciation for how much easier one child is than two!!!

Jingle Bell Run 5K (12/6)

A 5k supporting research for curing and treating arthritis.  While it was the same run as last year, it was an incredibly different experience!  Taking a toddler who wants to move independently = a tired dad from carrying a tired toddler over 3 miles.  At least we did it!!!

Thanksgiving with Donna and Pete!

Hooray!  We were thrilled to have Aunt Donna (5 months pregnant!!!:)) and Uncle Pete visit for Thanksgiving!  We got to enjoy a delicious meal that really was a joint effort - turkey, stuffing, green beans, mashed potatoes, sweet potato praline, gravy, cranberry sauce and a tart for dessert.  All made from scratch...no short-cutting here!  I don't know how we'd have done it with any fewer helpers in the kitchen.  It was a blast, though.  The whole weekend we had fun chatting, eating, talking about babies, playing with the kids and sharing stories of parenting as well as tips from our recent experiences.  They got to witness our crazy life with a newborn as Ava was less than three months old.

Rob and his little helper carving the turkey.

Donna adding the finishing layer to our Thanksgiving dessert - a chocolate salted caramel tart.  Looks like a little bit of Baby Cioni made the shot, too :)

This baby took more time than the turkey!  YUMMY!!
Uncle Pete and Ava.  Pete and Donna will be such wonderful parents!

Showing Donna and Pete one of our tight swaddle pieces (though the bamboo swaddle blanket above is a favorite we showed them as well!).

Walking through Old Town Square.  We went into town for yummy food and some shopping.  We got to show Donna and Pete some of our favorite baby products :)

A hungry (or if looking at this shot - famished) Jameson.  Can't wait for our pager to buzz so we can enjoy brunch at Snooze!

Warm weather allowed for a walk and some court time across the street.

In response to the many complaints I get about not showing enough of Ava...she's there too (sleeping-zzz).

J's first exposure to kite flying.  He thought it was pretty cool.  Now we'll have to get a kite :)

Family photo op on Thanksgiving.

Ava at 2 months

I'm 2 months!  Settling into life with more smiles :)

I've still got my hair and crazy fun hair-do.  Some other 2 month-olds might be jealous, but they shouldn't be jealous of the growing bald spot in the back of my head (a bit more obvious when you're blessed with as much hair as I am!).

Aunt Natalie Visits & Meets Ava (11/6)

Aunt Natalie and Penelope came out to visit for a long weekend.  So much fun having the girls meet each other.  We sure hope they grow up to be best of friends :)

So sweet!

Yup, this was the best pic from the series...

Go Pack!!!  Um, Aunt Natalie....where's your flair?

Gosh, I hope Ava loves football as much as Jameson!!!

Our next generation of Packer-backers!!!
