Happy Father's Day, Dad!!

I love you, dad!!!

A fun afternoon at O'Dell Brewery.  We haven't visited since they completed a bunch of outdoor renovations.  They now have quite the play yard.  With dogs always welcome and kids running around everywhere, Jameson found lots of entertainment.  One of the highlights... during some live music Jameson started dancing (some bouncing up and down) and another little boy, maybe 4 years old, came up and stood three feet away facing him.  The boys just started at each other - Jameson dancing and the other boy watching inquisitively.  Then the boy starts sheepishly doing some slow and deep bounces himself.  I was laughing so hard I almost peed my pants, which is a real possibility these days!!

Pool Time! (June 1st)

And summer begins! Jameson has already been to the pool a bunch this summer with daycare, but this was our first time going together. The last few weeks I've been working full-time to make up some vacation days, so I haven't had my typical Mondays and Fridays off.  I can't wait to return to my part-time schedule in July!

Jameson is doing a better job with copying "bubbles", but I think he has more fun watching me make them.  Here he is trying to force my mouth back into the water :)

Relaxing final day of our midwest vacation

Spending some time at the park in Grandma Lou and Grandpa's neighborhood. A nice way to unwind from the very long 9 hour car ride we took from MI to WI the day before.  Smiles are good to see :)

He sees hoops everywhere!

More steps to master.

On the see-saw with Grandma Lou - mom is on the other side.

Oh, no need for a swing substitute here!

Feeling right at home :)

Up dad, up!

I think I've got this one dad.

Visiting cousin Penelope!!!

Cousin Penelope Jean Malpass was born on April 30.  She was 6lbs, 9oz and 19.5in long.  We were so excited to travel up to Michigan after the wedding in Illinois and meet her.  Sweet, sweet Penelope just 2.5 weeks old.
Jameson was a good little companion, practicing for what is to come :)
An evening out in Boyne City, MI - such a cute and pretty town along the shores of Lake Charlevoix.  The kids did great at dinner, well Rob and I would say so.  At the end of dinner, we commented on how well behaved Jameson was with making only 2-3 squawking noises.   Natalie and Matthew (almost in unison) said it was "more like 75".  Either we have very different definitions of what a "squawk" is or Rob and I are really good at tuning out 96% of what Jameson does!

A nice evening stroll along the shore in between dinner and ice cream :)
Exploring the rocky shore with dad.
What a fun backyard Uncle Matthew and Aunt Natalie have!!!

They finally figured out how to play fetch and what a perfect place for it to come together - Jameson got a kick out of throwing the tennis ball into the lake and watching Hans pounce through the water to get it (Rob got a great video clip of it which we'll post soon).  When we first arrived to Natalie and Matthew's, the tennis ball inside the house immediately caught Jameson's attention, only Jameson wasn't interested in fetch.  Instead, he attempted to use it as a basketball and their antler chandelier as the hoop...It was hysterical!

Always the little things.

20 Weeks!  And with it comes more fun kicks which Rob can now feel, visible movement and some less fun swelling (especially the feet and ankles).

Heading back up to the house.

Jameson loves taking the stairs/doing steps.  He can crawl and slide up and down the stairs very easily at home, but he loves moving up and down them like "big" people.  There are a couple of ledges at the park that he can step up and down from on his own without assistance of any kind, but not stairs yet.

Two very tired cousins.

Aunt Michelle and sweet little Penelope :)

May 16th, Eric and Amanda's Wedding

Yay and congrats to the bride and groom, Eric (my cousin) and his wife, Amanda!!!

The Happy Couple!!
At the wedding, Jameson got to spend more time with "cousins" in the family (my cousins and my cousins' kids).  He had a blast!  We were all conveniently seated in the corner where they had room to run around and play.
Just prior to our trip, Jameson learned at daycare how to do a fist-bump with one of the other little boys there.  He was excited to show off his skills with everyone at the wedding.  "High five, low five, fist bump!"

Already tired from a night of high-fiving, fist-bumping and a whole lot of dancing.  The boy can move!

Oh grandpa, mom isn't going to like this...Can't you see I've already gone through one clothing change.  On the other hand, I love chocolate covered strawberries - so we'll blame this one on you.
