BasketBALL...enough said!

Jameson LOVES basketball!!  He's always loved balls, but especially basketball.  Daily he yearns to go across the street to the court (pictured above on May 6th) and play.  No, this isn't his basketball.  He has a hard time grasping the concept of having to wait his turn (big surprise) and so if other kids are playing a game, he just walks on the court holding his own own small ball and stares at them.  They offer their ball and he's instantly made friends.  They watch and marvel at the mad skills of a 16 month old :)

We now have a hoop in the house that's more Jameson's size.  It's cut down significantly on our court time at the park and subsequent interruptions of others' play.  Not to mention, it's also helped my back since 50% of the time he wanted me holding him so he could be closer to the basket!

20 Week Ultrasound

April 29th we got to see our baby for the first time.  Baby is reportedly healthy and by all accounts, active.  It was difficult for the tech to get clear images to determine gender because he/she kept moving and at another point had his/her legs crossed.  I can attest to how much this baby moves, but of course, I wouldn't have it any other way!  I love the little reminders of who is growing inside :)

After the ultrasound, we went to a baby store in town and picked out boy and girl burp cloths and outfits.  We gave the gender revealing picture to the store employee who went in back and wrapped the appropriate gift.  We took it home and kept it wrapped until our date night on May 3rd....stay tuned!

18 Weeks

Easter time marked 18 weeks for Baby Garnier #2.  We have an ultrasound scheduled for April 29th and can't wait to see if Jameson will be big brother to a baby boy or baby girl.

Easter 2014

Easter morning.  Jameson was fixated on wanting to get onto the basketball court, which I then left them to do while I went home and hid Easter eggs and his Easter basket.
I found one!!!

These are totally worth the hunt!

Cool, my very own basketball!

Dying eggs just in time for Easter

This is way more fun when a little one is entertained by it!  Can't wait till he's old enough to have a hand in it...err, or maybe I can!?!?

The Farm

Jameson loves parks and animals, so a Friday outing combining the two was perfect.  We visited a park on the north side of Old Town that I recently heard about.  Adjacent to the park is a children's petting zoo, called "The Farm".  We ate a picnic lunch, tossed around a ball, swung in the swings and went down some slides before heading over to meet the animals.

Denver Children's Museum, April 14

We had so much fun taking our play date with friends Kaylee and Finn down to Denver with a visit to the Children's Museum.  Dad would have loved it.

Some good parallel play for now.

Looks like our tunnel at home has paid off :)

This would have been one of dad's favorite rooms, too, Jameson!

Some more parallel play with Kaylee.

Early April, Cozy Cow Dairy

A warm spring day was the perfect time to visit the dairy farm for some yummy ice cream.  We'll have to return again so that we can see the cows being milked!  (In the picture above, you can also see Jameson's first bleeding battle wound.  He tripped over his own feet while running in the loft and slammed his head into the edge of an upholstered chair...ouch!  We're still hoping the scar goes away.)

Jameson loves making tractor sounds when we read his farm books.

A bit too eager.

Our "be gentle" instructions for Jameson with the dogs at home has benefited us on multiple occasions.  There's no telling what an angry goat would do!
